Things to Consider

Passport
Please double check your passport! Most countries require it be valid for at least six months beyond your planned date of departure.

Where We Are Located
The location is ideal. It’s a short walk to the center of Troncones. The beach road is being paved at The Villas so no more dust. The beach is great for swimming, surfing, fishing and simply sun bathing. Troncones is a small community at the end of a paved road 3 km off Highway 200. Just 25 minutes north of Zihuatanejo Mexico which has a small and charming international airport.

Airports near the Villas
There are direct flights to Ixtapa/Zihuateneno airport from many major U.S. cities.

Transfers & Shuttles
Direct shuttle bus (6 hours) from San Miguel is available.

Money
It is best to exchange U.S. currency into pesos, and best deals are through ATM machines. There are ATM machines at the airport, in Zihuatenejo and Ixtapa (your shuttle driver can stop there on the way to The Villas) but the ATM in Troncones is not reliably full at all times. Please remember to notify your bank and/or credit card companies that you will be traveling out of the country so you aren’t prevented from using your ATM cards.

You may also use U.S. dollars. Bring bills that are in good condition. Very helpful to have numerous $5s, $10s and $1s. Also good to have a few $20s. Cash is needed for tips related to the airport shuttle (driver and person who gets the shuttle for you when you first arrive). Cash needed for buying drinks at airport, souvenirs at beach, cafe on the last day. There are also awesome jewelry makers/sellers that come visit, so be prepared!

Food Allergies
Please let Sabré know upon registration if you have any food allergies so that the chef may be prepared.

What to bring

Passport
Bring a passport that’s good for at least 3 months after trip ends.

Flashlight
You may need a bright flashlight for walking after dark.

Earplugs

Insect Repellant

Anti-itch Cream

Sun Screen

Water Bottle

Clothes
You will need yoga clothes, a bathing suit and a casual outfit to go out to dinner. Otherwise, casual, cool and comfortable clothing for hanging out.  It tends to be too hot for long sleeves, even in early morning and late evening.
