The Floating Leaf BALI
August 7-16, 2025
Join our Freedom Journey to The Floating Leaf Eco-Retreat Resort in beautiful Bali, Indonesia. Here we will have an authentic Balinese experience, combining ancient traditional wisdom with modern convenience and luxury.
Surrounded by local markets, located near a famous surfing beach, this region is the center of art and culture. The Floating Leaf offers 5-star service with high quality organic amenities. The farm-to-table restaurant features organic, locally-grown gourmet cuisine created by their chef, who uses ingredients grown on the property!
Rest and rejuvenate in tropical eco-luxury living with a touch of authenticity and tradition in space and design with 5-star amenities. They offer round architectural forms in six of the rooms, with smooth contours that signal the brain to relax. The round rooms ignite inspiration, creativity, comfort and healing. Equipped with its own balcony, every room at The Floating Leaf Eco-Luxury Retreat offers views of the surrounding rice fields, Indian Ocean, the outer islands and the most sacred spot in Bali, Mount Agung, as well as the Healing Pool.
We’ll begin this retreat with 2 days of rest, renewal and recovery from our travel. During this time we will be served our meals, and the rest of the days are mostly unscheduled so that you can do whatever feels best for you to ensure you’re ready to participate in the activities for the rest of your stay. These will include a longer morning session of yoga with Sabré, and a short, relaxing session in the afternoon. Yoga takes place in the beautiful, open yoga sanctuary, and is always optional. Sometimes the sessions may be moved around to accommodate our other adventures in Bali.
We’ll have an introduction to and guidance on Balinese culture, an art and culture shopping tour, classes and ceremonies, along with, not one, but two massages as part of the retreat package. We will have the opportunity to visit Ubud and a monkey forest. Another day will include a purification ceremony, or Melukat ritual, led by a Balinese Hindu High Priestess.
We’ll experience the healing powers of Balians, or Balinese traditional healers that offer different healing modalities such as medicinal herbs and elixirs, while others study the body for tell-tale signs of ‘dis-ease’. Others may read palms, use numerology or give deep tissue massage to determine the illness or problem.
For one full day we’ll take a scenic drive up to Bali’s Central Highlands with it’s epic viewpoints, lakes and traditional villages. We’ll visit an 11-tiered temple that seems to float on Lake Batur and hike to the Secret Falls with an option to swim in a lagoon or get massaged by the falls.
Every day will offer special Bali experiences and explorations!

Farm-to-Table Dining
Our sister company, Bodhi’s Farm, produces truly organic poultry chicken, free from chemicals, hormones, and antibiotics. We believe in the ethos, you are what you eat, and staying with us means eating only the healthiest, freshest, and safest products, in line with your retreat goals.
In our on-site organic permaculture garden we grow as much as we can ourselves to craft your meals. Enjoy fresh and healthy fruits and vegetables brought directly from our garden to your table. Feel free to stroll through the garden and select ingredients you’d like our private chef to include in your next meal.
Picture this: A highlight of our farm is our organic chicken, raised with the utmost care and respect. Our chickens roam freely, enjoying a natural diet free from antibiotics and hormones, resulting in meat that is not only flavorful but also rich in nutrients. This commitment to quality ensures that every dish featuring our organic chicken is a celebration of health and taste
Your Culinary Confidante: The Private Chef
Imagine having a personal culinary wizard. Meet our private chef! Share your food preferences in the morning, and by evening, they’ll whip up a tantalizing meal just for you. Plus, you can join them in the garden—think of it as a flavorful treasure hunt!
Nutrient-Rich Menus
We’re serious about your well-being. Our menus dance with Indonesian specialties, raw delights, vegan wonders, and vegetarian gems. Every bite is a step toward vitality. And guess what? You’ll leave with culinary superpowers! Our post-stay cooking classes reveal the secrets behind your newfound favorites.
Bonus benefit: Take home more than memories—take home the art of healthy cooking! Our big, friendly kitchen awaits your culinary curiosity.
Yoga
Generally speaking, there will be a longer morning session of yoga offered. In this session we will have a time of centering, honing in on the focus of the class that day, breathwork (pranayama), the physical aspect of the class (asana), relaxation (savasana) and meditation.
What ‘type’ of yoga we do for the asana practice will depend on who shows up, the level of experience and energy of the group, consideration of mobility restrictions or injuries. Sabré has over 30 years of experience of teaching and 12 years of organizing and leading retreats and a huge toolbox full of styles and modifications from which to choose!
The late afternoon sessions of yoga will be shorter, and either Yin Yoga or Yoga Nidra, both of which require little or no movement.
There are a lot of excursions and adventures during our stay, and sometimes yoga will be omitted, shortened, or rescheduled, to accommodate the activities that day.
Yoga is optional. This is your retreat. If you need rest, or prefer a different activity, you are welcome to take care of yourself as you best see fit.

More Information
Going to Bali is a BIG deal! For some us, it might be the furthest from home we’ve ever traveled. Once you’ve registered and paid your deposit, I will send you several pieces of information to help you prepare. I’ll provide guidance for booking flights, travel insurance, and I’ll be sharing an 80-page digital booklet containing everything you need to know about being in Bali! This will include information on customs, what to bring, what to wear, currency and much, much more.
I’ll send emails along the way and be here to answer questions. You won’t be left to figure it all out on your own, unless you choose to do so.
I’m very excited to see who will be going along with me on this journey and trust that we will be an amazing group of kind, adventurous people.
My goal is to provide a safe structure in which every member of our group may have access to the optimum potentiality of the venue and retreat experience. As such, I will use my discretion and reserve the right to turn away any individual(s) whom I feel might be a threat to this goal.
Thank you for considering being part of the Bali retreat!
